While on Models 4I3 and 5I3 (when parallel or serial is the
active interface) you may see
Ignore these messages until you have attached the printer to
your computer. (Press Stop to turn off the alarm, if
necessary.)
5. If the printer operated correctly, go to Step 6 on page 1-17,
otherwise, check the following:

PRINT SPEED REDUCED
15 COMMUNICATIONS CHECK
CHECK CABLE
28 COMMUNICATIONS CHECK
CALL SYSTEM OPERATOR
