Channel level setting

The Auto MCACC feature (see page 29) should
give you the best surround sound setup.
However you may find that by further
adjustment of the channel levels you can
improve the surround sound in your listening
room.

This method of setting the channel levels
allows you to listen to a source and adjust the
levels of each playback channel.

The test tone method can also be used to

adjust channel levels.

Open the ‘Sound Setup’

menu.

Select ‘ChannelLevel’, then press

ENTER.

Use

/ to select a channel

/ to adjust the level of that channel.

• You can adjust the level of each channel by

±10 dB.

Press once when you’re finished.

• If you use the Auto MCACC feature again,

it will overwrite the settings you have made
here.

Speaker distance setting

The Auto MCACC feature (see page 29) should
give you the best surround sound setup.
However you may find that by further
adjustment of the speaker distance settings
you can improve the surround sound in your
listening room.

Set the distance of each speaker from your
normal listening position.

Open the ‘Sound Setup’

menu.

Select ‘Distance’, then press

ENTER.

Use

/ to select a speaker or

/ to adjust the distance.
Each speaker can be adjusted from

0.1m to

9.0m.

Press ENTER when you’re finished.

• If you use the Auto MCACC feature again,

it will overwrite the settings you have made
here.

Note

1 The Channel level setting is not available when headphones are connected.
2 No test tone is output when audio is muted.
3 When

Test Tone is selected, the test tone moves automatically from speaker to speaker in the order

CRSRSLSW. Adjust the / controls so that the test tone is heard at the same volume from each speaker when

sitting in the main listening position. However, the test tone from the subwoofer may sound lower than other tones, in which
case adjust the level while listening to a source. Press

ENTER when you’re finished.
