FEED Key and PAUSE Key Self Test

Pressing these two keys at the same time, while turning the Power ON,

temporarily resets the Printer Configuration to the factory default val-

ues. These values will be active until Power is turned OFF. Whenever

the printer is reset to factory defaults, a Media Calibration procedure must

be performed immediately.

MODE Key Self Test

This test places the printer in the Communications Diagnostics Mode.

In this mode, the printer prints the ASCII characters and their corre-

sponding hexadecimal values for any data received from the host com-

puter. A typical printout from this test is shown in Figure 3.5.
Note: This label will be inverted when printed.

PAUSE Key and CANCEL Key Test

This test prints a maximum of 500 Head Test labels. Each label back-

feeds prior to printing and feeds forward to the rest position after print-

ing. A serialized number prints on each label. Press the PAUSE key or

turn the printer power OFF to stop printing. The labels look like the

one in

Figure 3.3

except that a serialized number will print on each la-

bel.
