VEGAPULS 56 Profibus PA

2 Types and versions

VEGAPULS 56 sensors are a newly devel-
oped generation of very compact, high tem-
perature radar sensors. They enable for the
first time non-contact level measurements
under high temperatures and pressures.
They offer the advantages of radar level
measurement for applications in which the
special advantages of radar could not be
previously applied due to extreme process
conditions.

VEGAPULS 56 radar sensors utilise two-wire
technology perfectly. The supply voltage and
the output signal are transmitted via one two-
wire cable. They provide an analogue
4 … 20 mA output signal as output or meas-
uring signal. This operating instructions
manual describes the sensors with digital
output signal.
