2. With an ohmmeter, test for shorts
between the three transducer wires, and
each wire to chassis ground. If a short is
found, test the connection between the
transducer and the field wiring, and
determine if the short is in the field wiring,
or internal to the transducer. Visually
inspect all wire connections. Repair any
loose or broken wire nut connections. If
the short appears to be internal to the
transducer, call Technical Support at (800)
984-6266.
3. With Circuit breaker to the LS300 console locked out and tagged, remove the
barrier to the transducer terminal blocks, disconnect transducer and measure ohms
from JP2, 4, 6, or 8 to channel 1, 2, 3, or 4 signal terminal block (see Figure 4-2 for
