Module types
Main/Inside DI16/DO16
Main module/intermediate module: 2 byte inputs , 2 byte outputs
Main/Inside DI8/DO8 Main module/intermediate module: 1 byte inputs , 1 byte outputs
Main/Inside only DI8 Main module/intermediate module: 1 byte inputs
Main/Inside only DO8 Main module/intermediate module: 1 byte outputs
Add-on DI8 Expansion module: 1 byte inputs
Add-on DO8 Expansion module: 1 byte outputs
A main inside module must be used for each hardware configuration. Empty slots upt to 2 buytes IN or 2 bytes
OUT can be filled with the add-on modules.
In the above example, a 2 byte IN / 2 byte OUT module was used. The inputs occupy the EB 1 and 2, the
outputs the AB  and 4.
