RIO Module
The RIO modules allow you to expand your system by a further remote 16DI/16DO.
Before commissioning, make all plug connections (voltage, internal bus) and the pneumatic connec-
tions.
Set the internal address.
NOTE!
Instructions for this can be found in the chapter Configuration and Function of the Mo-
dules.
Address Setting�
Set the addresses of the RIO modules in succession without gaps.
The first module must be assigned the address 0, the second the address 1 and so forth.
config�uration
NOTE! Before you start the configuration of the RIO modules, the configuration of the Profibus ®
module and, if installend, the intermediate modules must have been completed.
The configuration procedure is described here using the example of the STEP7 (Siemens).
As an example, a configuration of the main module (Profibus ® module) and the intermediate module each with
16 outputs and 16 inputs has been selected. The configuration of the RIO module with16 outputs and 16
inputs was also selected.
The inputs and outputs are connected to the addresses 10/11 (main module), 12/1 (intermediate module)
and 14/15 (RIO module).
