Symmetry (Ramp Wave)

This configuration applies to Ramp wave only. Symmetry
represents the amount of time per cycle that the Ramp wave
is rising (assuming that the waveform is not inverted).

Ramp wave duty cycles

The symmetry percentage is stored in volatile memory

where the symmetry is set to default 100% upon power

-off

or after a remote interface reset.

The symmetry setting is stored when you change from

Ramp wave to another function. Thus, when you return to
the Ramp function, the previous symmetry is used.

If you select a Ramp waveform as the modulating

waveform for AM, FM, or PM, the symmetry setting does
not apply.

Soft Front Panel Operation

After selecting

Ramp

at the top panel as shown in

Figure 2- 2

, on the Symmetry panel below, input the desired

symmetry value.
