To use the netboot option:

1.

Enter the

ifconfig

command (refer to

Table 2-2

) at the command line

prompt and press the Return key.

The following is a sample command:

ifconfig com1 9.0.0.2 255.0.0.0 9.0.0.3

Refer to Appendix A for more information about the

ifconfig

command.

2.

Enter the following command and press the Return key to verify the
configuration you specified in Step 1:

getcfg

The

getcfg

command shows the source -- either local or network -- of the

boot image and the network configuration file. It also shows the interface
configuration that you specified using the

ifconfig

command.

Verify the interface configuration, as shown in

Figure 2-1

.
