mvr vlan

This command specifies the VLAN through which MVR multicast data is received. Use the no form
of this command to restore the default MVR VLAN.

Syntax

mvr domain domain-id vlan vlan-id

no mvr domain domain-id vlan

domain-id - An independent multicast domain. (Range: 1-5)

vlan-id - Specifies the VLAN through which MVR multicast data is received. This is also the
VLAN to which all source ports must be assigned. (Range: 1-4093)

Command Usage

This command specifies the VLAN through which MVR multicast data is received. This is the
VLAN to which all source ports must be assigned.

The VLAN specified by this command must be an existing VLAN configured with the

vlan

command.

MVR source ports can be configured as members of the MVR VLAN using the

switchport

allowed vlan

command and

switchport native vlan

command, but MVR receiver ports should

not be statically configured as members of this VLAN.

Example

The following example sets the MVR VLAN to VLAN 2:

Console(config)#mvr

Console(config)#mvr domain 1 vlan 2
