4. Configure Print driver Settings
Open the Registration Data of the printer and pick up the desired Printing method..
Open Printer Properties
There are two ways to open the registration data of the printer.
- Open them from the application program S/W.
- Open them from the Printer Folder.
Changing the registration data of the printer in the application program S/W applies to current
printing job settings only.
To change the default of the printer, change it in the Printer folder. Such change will be applied to
all the users sharing the printer.
Set up from the Application Program S/W
The method of opening the registration data of the printer differs from the application program S/W.
Refer to the user manual for the application program S/W you use.
For example, Notepad of Microsoft Windows XP is described below:

Select Print on the File menu.

Click the installed printer on Select printer and then Click [Printing Preferences].

Printing Preferences appears. For the details of printer driver setting, refer to the common
information of each tab on the following.
Set up in the Printer Folder
To change the printer driver setting, log on with administrator.

Press [Start] Key and specify [Setting] and then click [Printer].
- If Windows 7 is used, click [Start] →[Control Panel] →[H/W and Sound] →[Device and
Printer].
- If WIndows Vista or Server 2008 is used, click [Start] → [Control Panel] → [H/W and Sound]
→[Printer].
- If Windows XP Professional is used, click [Start] → [Printer and Fax].
- If Windows [Start] → [Control Panel ] → [Printer and other H/Ws] → [Printer and Fax].
