Preparation for Using the Machine

Note
- The following original cannot be used in the ARDF:
Torn original or the original with hole;
Badly creased or bent original;
Sticking originals due to moisture or static;
Duplex original by pencil or carbon paper;
Cloth or metal paper;
Original with staple, paper clip, or adhesive tape;
Sticking original by the adhesive such as paste; or
Original made of glossy paper or specially coated paper.
Hold Original on the Flatbed

Open the ARDF by the knob. When laying original on the Flatbed,
lift the original Platen Cover up more than 20 degrees

Hold the scanning side of original down and then fit the original to the original scale at the
corner of left top of the Flatbed:
