6. Troubleshooting
If any trouble arises in the Machine, please refer to the following content. If the trouble cannot be
solved by the methods described below, please contact our Customer Support Center.
Caution
- If any abnormal sound, smell, or smoke is generated from the Machine, or if the
temperature in the using section of the scanner becomes too high, unplug the Machine
promptly and then notify our Customer Support Center.
- If a trouble arose by repairing or remodeling the Machine by you, or by using the
consumables not specified by us, the Warranty may not apply to the trouble.
The Machine does not run:

Check that the power
cord is connected tightly.
Check up the power
switch and the power
plug.
Check that the power
switch is ON.
Turn the power switch
ON.
Nothing appears
on the screen.
Check that [Energy
Save] lamp is ON.
The Machine is under
Energy Save Mode. End
the Energy Save Mode.
Paper cannot be
output.
Check that the paper or
other object is jammed.
Check up the error mes
sage and then
remove the jammed
paper or other object.
Paper is often
jammed. Paper is
creased.
Check that the paper is
set correctly.
Set the paper
correctly.
Check that the paper size
is set correctly.
Set up the paper size
to fit to the paper in the
Paper Tray.
Check that proper
paper is being used.
Use the paper specified
in the USER MANUAL.
Check that there is
moisture on the paper.
Replace it with the new
paper with no moisture.
