2. Cleaning of the Machine
Machine cleaning is described below.
Cleaning, maintenance, or recycling not described here should be made by the skilled persons.
Important
- Do not use cleaning chemicals such as benzene or thinner as they may damage to the
plastic or paint of the Machine.
- Do not use toilet tissue or paper towel in cleaning. It may stick onto the main body inside or
generate static. Use a soft cloth so that the surface of the Machine cannot be damaged.
Cleaning of the surface of the Machine
Dip a soft cloth in water or mild cleaning fluid, then wring it out and wipe the surface of the Machine
off with the cloth:
Cleaning of Scanner sections
If the scanner is dirty, something like spot may be printed on the copy or black lines may be printed
on the received Fax file.
Clean the scanner regularly.
Cleaning of the ARDF, Flatbed, Platen Cover, and Original Pad
Dip a soft cloth in water, and then wring it out and wipe the sections off. After that, wipe them off
again with a clean and dry cloth.
If thick dust lie on the sections, dip a soft cloth in the cleaning fluid in small amount, take out the
cloth and wipe them off, and then wipe them off with a clean and dry cloth.
