Threading the Machine
»Threading the machine
* Raise the thread take-up lever to its highest position by
turning the handwheel counterclockwise.
* Raise the presser foot lifter,
* Place a spool on the spool pin, with the thread coming
off as shown.
(T| Draw the end of the thread around the upper thread guide.
m While holding the thread near the spool, draw the end of
the thread down around the check spring holder.
[ 3 ] Firmly draw the thread up from right to left over the
take-up lever, and down into the take-up lever eye.,
[3 Slide the thread behind the needle bar thread guide on
the left.
[ 5 ] Thread the needle from front to back, or use a needle
threader.
NOTE:
The needle threader can be used with a #11 to #16
needle, or a #11 Blue needle.
Thread size 50 to 100 is recommended.

□ Raise the needle to its highest position. Push down the
needle threader knob 0 as far as it will go.
The hook comes out through the needle eye from
behind.
[U Paying dose attention to the needle point, draw the
thread around the guide CD and under the hook ®,
ID Release the knob slowly while holding the thread end 0
with your hand, A loop of the thread is pulled up through
the needle eye.
