Fault Relay - 111

Configuration Using the Web Interface

Off Period (Sec): Type the period time to turn off relay output. The valid range is from 0 to 4,294,967,295
seconds.

Event Type: Power Failure

Power ID: Select Power 1 or Power 2. When the power is shut down or broken for the selected input the system
shorts the relay out and light the DO LED.

Event Type: Link Failure

Link: Select the port ID you want to monitor.

How to configure: Select the check box of the Ethernet ports you want to monitor. You can select one or more
ports. When the selected links are down or broken the system shorts the relay output and light the DO LED.

Event Type: Ping Failure

IP Address: Enter the IP address of the target device you want to ping.

Reset Time (Sec): The amount of time to wait before shorting the relay output.

Hold Time (Sec): Waiting time to ping the target device for the duration of remote device boot.

How to configure: After selecting Ping Failure event type the system turns the
relay output to short state and continuously ping the target device. When the
ping failure occurs the switch turns the relay output to open state for a period of
Reset Time.

After the Reset Time(Sec) timeout the system turns the relay output to a closed
state. After the Hold Time(Sec) timeout the switch system starts to ping the
target device.

For example if Reset Time is set to 5 seconds and Hold Time is set to 50 seconds
off the ping failure occurs the switch system turns the relay output to an open state to emulate power switch
off for 5 second periods. After Reset Time timeout the switch starts to ping the target device every 50 seconds.
The period of time is for target device system booting. During this period the switch system does not ping the
target device until the Hold Time timeout.

Event Type: Super Ring Failure

Select Super Ring Failure and when the Redundant Ring topology is changed the
system shorts the relay out and light the DO LED.

Once you finish configuring the settings click the Apply button to apply your
configuration.
