PRESETTING AN EQUALIZATION CURVE
MANUALLY □

1 Press the PRGM/MANUAL button of the GEQ so

that one of the GEQ M1 to M4 indicators in the

dispiay is surrounded by red.

2 Press one of the CURSOR CONTROL buttons to

display EQ ON.

While EQ ON is displayed, go to next step.

If DELAY is displayed, press the OFF button of the DSP.

3 Press the CURSOR CONTROL buttons to adjust

the level of the frequency.

4 Press the GEQ/DSP MEMORY button.

While MEMO is displayed, go to next step.

If MEMO goes out, press it again.

5 Press one of the GEQ M1-M4 buttons to store the

frequency level.

To select a manual-preset GEQ

Press the GEQ PRGM/MANUAL button so that one of the GEQ

M1 to M4 indicators in the display is surrounded by red.

2 Press one of the GEQ M1-M4 buttons.

To select with the remote control

Press the GEQ MANU button repeatedly until the desired

equalization curve is displayed.

THE DSP (DIGITAL SIGNAL

The DSP function adjusts the reverb level and delay time to give a

resonant surround sound during playback, allowing you to enjoy

the real sound presence of different environments.
This unit has been programmed with 4 different DSP modes.
You can also create and store up to 4 of your own surround settings.

Press the PRGM/MANUAL button of the DSP so that DISCQ, LIVE.
MQVIE or HALL in the display is surrounded by red, and press the
DISCQ, LIVE, MQVIE or HALL button of the DSP. -* □

To select with the remote control

Press the DSP PRGM button until the desired mode is displayed.

Sound characteristics of DSP modes

Equalization curves are selected automatically to match the selected
DSP sound.

DISCQ: Little reverb and medium range surround to resemble a

disco. The graphic equalizer is set to ROCK.

LIVE: Little reverb and narrow range surround to resemble a live

stage. The graphic equalizer is set to POP.

MOVIE:Little reverb and medium range surround to resemble a

movie theater. The graphic equalizer is set to JAZZ.

HALL: Long reverb and wide range surround to resound like a

concert hall. The graphic equalizer is set to CLASSIC.

• The graphic equalization curve can also be selected or turned off

as you prefer.

• The graphic equalizer is not turned off by turning off the DSP.
