Advanced Settings for PPP dialing

Figure 3- 29 Advanced PPP settings

There are some advanced settings for the PPP dial up: the MTU and MRU. Leave it empty

unless you are aware of these, or follow the instructions from your operator.

You can ether specify the DNS server‟s IP address manually or let the router obtain that

from the PPP negotiation.

PIN: This function appears only when the SIM card of your WWAN card supports PIN

function.

If Automatically authenticate with the saved PIN code when device startup is

checked, MB6800 will save the PIN code automatically and

you needn‟t to input the

PIN again next time you startup MB6800.

Aware that this function can only be effective when you have already saved the PIN.

Download PRL: The first time when you use a KPC650 data card, you may need to

activate it and download the latest PRL (Preferred Roaming List) step by step. The

PRL contains the latest addition of EVDO sites and can enable you to roam and use

these new sites:

1. Change the connect mode to Manual on the Internet access page of MB6800,

then reboot the system to make this change become effective. So that MB6800

will not start to dial-up when startup.

2.

Click “download PRL” button on the Internet access page. The following page

wills pop-up.
