Change the Default MoCA Beacon Power Level

Note

: Most users will be able to utilize the SBM1000 adapters without making any changes to

the default out of the box Beacon Power Level configuration.

You have the option to configure a specific MoCA Beacon power level for the coax network

interface. If the MoCA Beacon power level must be reduced, it is highly recommended that the
beacon power level is not configured at a value lower than 7. The same configuration changes

you make to the MoCA Beacon power level on one adapter will also have to be made on each
additional adapter on the network. See

MoCA Setup

for more information.

Do the following to change the default MoCA Beacon Power level on your home network:
1. Log in to the SBM1100 or SBM1400 Web Admin Interface.
2. Click MoCA Setup link on the left side menu on the screen.
3. Click Beacon Power Level drop down menu button.
