If the DSL Line Rate has been set below 2048k then some of the Time Slots will have to be disabled (fractional
E1). The number of time slots that need to be disabled depends on the DSL Line Rate. Each time slot (local-
0 to local-31) must be disabled separately.

To show the current status of time slot 1 (local-0) type:

--> ds0 config show interface local-00 enable

The CLI will respond with the following statement.

enable: 0

1 equals enabled

0 equals disabled

To enable time slot local-00 type:

--> ds0 config set interface local-00 enable 1

To enable All of the timeslots the channalisation on DS1 must be disable, type:

--> ds1 config set interface local channelization disabled

↵↵

To disable time slot local-00, type:

--> ds0 config set interface local-00 enable 0

The Nx64 User Port can be configured as a V11, V35, RS232, RS449, EIA-530 or EIA-530A. To view the current
list of options Use the ? command i.e. type:

--> nx64 set interface local type
