The

BladeCenter

T

unit

comes

with

one

hot-swap

management

module

in

management-module

bay

1.

You

can

add

a

second

management

module

in

management-module

bay

2.

Note:

Only

one

management

module

is

active;

the

second

management

module,

if

present,

provides

redundancy.

module

functions

as

a

service

processor

for

the

multiple

blade

servers.

The

management

module

configures

the

BladeCenter

T

unit

and

modules,

configuring

information

such

as

switch

module

IP

addresses.

The

management

module

also

performs

USB-to-PS/2

conversions

for

the

system

keyboard

and

mouse

and

can

send

the

VGA

signal

stream

to

a

remote

console

for

viewing.

The

service

processor

communicates

with

the

service

processor

each

blade

server

for

functions

CD-ROM

The

management

module

also

communicates

with

the

I/O

modules,

power

modules,

blower

modules,

and

servers

to

detect

presence

or

absence

and

any

error

conditions,

sending

alerts

when

required.

front

of

the

BladeCenter

unit.
