5.7.3.1 HDD Information
・For information of external IEEE
1394 HDD.
Click the "Indicate" button to
know which HDD is.
・For information of Local HDD.
The capacity and free space displayed are smaller than the actual capacity
as they are calculated based on 1 GB = 1024 x 1024 x 1024 Byte. !
・"Object for main" The use of HDD can be changed, if cursor is united with the
portion currently displayed as / "the object for backup" and an execution button
is pushed.
・Main HDD : Can be used for basic REC.
・Backup : For backup HDD.
・Only one HDD can be set-up for backup. If there is another HDD(a) set-up to
backup from the first when changing the use of a HDD(b) into backup from
main, the use of the HDD(a) will be automatically changed into main.
・HDD of No.1 (Primary Master (PM)) You can use it for main.

■ Indicate
■ Hard disk use change
・"Indicate" button is displayed in the information display of external IEEE1394 HDD.
As clicking the "Indicate" button, you can know which HDD is. The access LED of
applicable HDD lights up.
If cursor is united with arbitrary HDD and the ENTER button is pressed, the information on
HDD can be displayed.
If Removable HDD is set-up for backup, this HDD’s contents are not be able
to replay from the remote place.
