Installing UnixWare

Reinserting the Host Bus Adapter (HBA) Driver Disk

To reinsert the Host Bus Adapter (HBA) driver disk, follow these steps:

1. When prompted to reinsert the HBA driver disk you used earlier, insert

the disk and press Enter. The “Setting up UnixWare” message displays.
Please wait.

The “Building the Operating System” message displays. Please wait.

2. At the “UnixWare 2.1 installation is complete” prompt, remove any disk

and CD.

Rebooting the System

To reboot the system, follow these steps:

1. Press Enter to reboot and restart UnixWare. If the network board(s) in

your system are recognized, then the “Installing drivers for the Network
Card(s)” message displays. If not, then skip to step 5, and install your
driver after the OS installation is complete.

2. At the Network Interface Card Support Utility prompt, select “Accept all

entries.”

3. When the system is rebuilt, you are prompted to press Enter to reboot.

4. When the “Inet Setup Values from System Files” prompt displays, enter

any values where necessary (IP, DNS info., for example) and press F10
to continue. When done, select Exit.

5. When the “Language Supplement Installation” prompt displays, enter

the country information (press

to select “United States”) and Apply.

Please wait.

6. When the “Mouse Selection” prompt displays, select 3. PS/2-compatible

Mouse, and press Enter.

7. When the “Select number of mouse buttons” prompt displays, press

to select 3 (or leave 2 if shipped with Microsoft mouse). Apply, and
press Enter.
