Checking that the interface is validated
Use the show interfaces command to check that the interface is validated; check that “up” is displayed.

Starting up the telnet server

To start up the telnet server, use the telnet-server ip enable command for IPv4 and the telnet-server ipv6
enable command for IPv6 in global config mode.

NOTE:

To prevent a remote console from making illegal access to In-Skin Router, register users before
starting up the telnet server. For an explanation of registering users, see

“REGISTERING US-

ERS AND SETTING PASSWORDS”

MEMO:

To stop the telnet server, enter the no telnet-server ip enable command for IPv4 and the no tel-
net-server ipv6 enable command for IPv6.
