Partition Remote Console Interface

Figure 3-18 KVMS Redirection Page
KVMS redirection starts a remote session using the Partition Desktop or JViewer
interface of Console Manager. Depending on your workstation operating system,
browser, and the version of Java installed, you can use these interfaces to view and
control partition operations. Partition Desktop can operate with Express5800/A1160
partitions as well as with other systems that include Console Manager. JViewer can
operate only with Express5800/A1160 partitions.
Console Manager is preinstalled on your system Service Processor. You configure and
access Console Manager through the remote console interface. Refer to
9.1 Accessing
the Desktop of a Partition Remotely using remote console interface
for the procedure to
configure Console Manager and start a remote session from your workstation.
3.5.20. Fault
Information
Fault information is available for cell components in the partition, including whether they
are enabled or disabled. Components can become disabled automatically when faults
occur, or you can disable components manually to temporarily remove them from the
partition. Disabled components are not used the next time a partition boot or restart
occurs.
Figure 3-19
shows the partition clear fault data page.
