Clearing messages using the EXPRESSSCOPE® Monitor interface is the same as
using the remote console interface.
Once messages are cleared, messages that appear later mean that a new fault
occurred.
4.4. Partition Chassis Control
Chassis Control on the partition menu displays a submenu of commands to shut down
and, possibly, reboot the partition operating system, and to power the partition on or off,
as follows:
• Power Down
Shuts down the operating system ungracefully and shuts down power.
• Power Cycle
Shuts down the operating system ungracefully, shuts down power for the specified
interval, and then turns power on and reboots the operating system.
• Soft Shutdown
