Choosing the Reception Mode & How to Receive

Overview

There are three ways to set up your machine to receive fax messages;

Auto Select Mode

Manual Receive Mode

FAX Mode

Giving Priority to Autoselect Mode

This mode is selected when the Auto Select indicator is lit. If it is not lit, press the
Reception mode Key under the indicator until it is lit.

It will start ringing to allow you to answer the call. If you do not answer within a
certain time, the machine will connect the caller to the fax machine.

Setting the Auto Ring Count

When the machine detects an incoming call, it will ring to attract your attention.
While the machine is ringing you have a chance to answer the call, after ringing
stops, the fax machine takes the line and you are no longer able to answer the
call yourself. The Auto Ring Count is the number of ringings that the machine will
ring.

1. Press the Function key and

6,2,2,2,2,6,1 using the ten keypad, then
press the Yes key.

3. Press the Yes key. The factory setting

will appear. If you wish to change it,
press the No key to delete it.

4. Enter the number of rings (Auto Ring

Time).
