Troubleshooting

This chapter covers the potential problems you may run into and the possible remedies. After each problem
description, some instructions are provided to help you to diagnose and to solve the problem.

14.1 Problems Starting Up the Prestige 1100

Corrective Action

None of the LEDs are on when
you power on the Prestige 1100

Check the connection between the power cord and your Prestige
1100.

If the error persists you may have a hardware problem. In this case
you should contact technical support.

1.Check to see if the Prestige 1100 is connected to your computer’s
serial port. Note that a null modem is required.

VT100 terminal emulation

9600 Baud.

Cannot access the Prestige 1100
via the console port.

2. Check to see if the
communications program is
configured correctly. The
communications software should
be configured as follows:

No parity, 8 Data bits, 1 Stop bit.
