7. Click on Send Fax. If you are not using a cover page, skip to

step 11. If using a cover page, the Cover Page Settings
dialog box appears.

8. If desired, type the name and company name of the recipient

in the To Name and To Company fields. If these fields are
blank or do not contain the desired information, type your
name and company name in these fields.

9. Do one of the following:

Type the subject of your fax in the Regarding: field.

Leave the Regarding: field blank.

10. Type a message of up to seven lines in the Cover Note area,

or leave it blank. Press the Tab key in the Cover Note area
to move down one line.

11. Click on Send Fax to begin transmission.

As transmission begins, you hear dialing sounds and the
ringing of the telephone line at the fax printer, if this feature
is enabled.

After transmission is complete, the printer prints out a time-
stamped confirmation report indicating whether the
transmission was successful. If the transmission did not
succeed (because of a busy signal, for example), try faxing
again at a later time by following the steps above.

Printing a fax from a Windows application

Folow these steps to print a document instead of sending a fax:

1. Issue the PRINT command in your Windows application.

2. Select Print on the Fax or Print dialog box.

Your job prints.
