The value of the totalizer is stored in the meter’s non-volatile memory once each minute and

whenever the totalizer is stopped or reset. Therefore, the totalized value continues to increase

even after a power outage. There is, however, the possibility to lose the last minutes worth of

totalized flow since the totalizer value is only saved to non-volatile memory once each minute.

Models equipped with an LCD can be configured to display the totalizer value. The totalizer

value can be configured to display constantly or to alternate with the flow rate. When config-

ured to alternate, the totalizer value is displayed for five seconds and then the flow rate is dis-

played for 5 seconds. See the “LCD Display” section for instructions on displaying the totalizer

on the LCD.

The totalizer unit is dependant on the “Multiplier” value. When the multiplier value is 1.0, the

displayed totalizer unit will be the base unit that is associated with the flow units. For example,

if the flow rate is lbs per hour, the totalizer naturally accumulates lbs or if the flow unit is cubic

meters per hour, the totalizer unit will be cubic meters. When the multiplier is not 1 .0, the total-

izer unit is the “Custom Unit”. The custom totalizer unit can be configured by the user by enter-

ing the desired unit in the “Custom Unit” field described below.

Note: The totalizer value is set to zero whenever the totalizer is configured using the “Totalizer Settings”

dialog box. For normal operation, use the controls provided by the totalizer dialog box under the tools

menu to start, stop, and reset the totalizer.

Totalizer example

For a customer metering mass flow of steam in lbs, the totalizer can be configured as follows:

Multiplier:

0.001

Rollover:

1,000,000

Custom Unit: “ K LBS “

In this example, the totalizer will display thousands of lbs and rollover after 1 million-thousand

lbs (1 billion lbs). The displayed unit is “ K LBS “.
