The GUI illustrations in this guide were created using a Windows computer with the Internet Explorer
browser. Actual windows may differ depending on the operating system and browser used. GUI
contents also vary with licensed program products, storage system models, and firmware versions.
XP Continuous Access
XP Continuous Access software provides a continuous, nondisruptive, host-independent remote
data replication solution for disaster recovery or data migration over any distance.
For distances within the same metropolitan area, XP Continuous Access Synchronous software
provides a no-data-loss, rapid-restart solution. For enterprise environments, XP Continuous Access
Synchronous software, combined with XP Continuous Access Journal and the XP storage system,
allows for advanced three-data- center configurations for optimal data protection.
XP Continuous Access Asynchronous software can also be deployed for wide-area disaster protection
across virtually any distance. XP Continuous Access Asynchronous software uses a unique method
of sequence numbers and timestamps in each data record to ensure proper sequencing and data
integrity during transmission and recovery.
This document describes and provides instructions for performing XP Continuous Access operations
on the storage system using the XP Continuous Access software on Remote Web Console. The
licensed XP Continuous Access software displays XP Continuous Access information and allows
you to perform XP Continuous Access operations. For further information on Remote Web Console,

XP Continuous Access operations can also be performed from the open-systems host using HP
StorageWorks RAID Manager software. For information and instructions on using RAID Manager
