Thin Provisioning

Note the following if you are using FS, THP, and Thin Provisioning Z (THP Z) in a single storage
system:

If you are expanding the THP V-VOL capacity, you cannot create FS pairs that have an THP
V-VOL as the P-VOL.

You can use a maximum volume size of 4 TB (4,398,046,511,104 bytes) THP volume as a
FS P-VOL.

If you specify TB, GB, or MB as the unit when creating a volume, you cannot create a volume
of 4 TB (4,398,046,511,104 bytes). To create a volume of 4 TB (4,398,046,511,104 bytes),
for unit, specify block.

The following table explains how the maximum LDEV capacity differs depending on the
specified unit.
