View the licensed capacity.

Monitoring the number of cache management devices

You can monitor the number of cache management devices, such as the current number of devices
and maximum amount allowed in the storage system, in the View Management Resource Usage
window.
1.

On the menu bar, select Actions > View Management Resource Usage.

2.

From the View Management Resource Usage window, view the number of cache management
devices in Number of Cache Management Devices.

In the Storage Systems tree, select Pools.

2.

View information about a pool.

Viewing formatted pool capacity

The following are the cases that the free pool capacity is not formatted. In these cases, the free
capacity may not increase:

Pools other than the selected pool are being formatted.

The pool usage level reaches up to the warning threshold.

The selected pool is blocked.

I/O loads to the storage system are high.

The cache memory is blocked.

Pool-VOLs in the selected pool are blocked.

Pool-VOLs which are external volumes in the selected pool are blocked.
