Connection Problems

If you cannot connect to the QML logger, the service connection is not
opened and you cannot work with the logger. In case of connection
problems, check the possible problems as instructed in

Table 27 on page

122

.

Error Messages

When typing commands, you may encounter some error messages.

You receive the following

You are trying to connect to the
wrong port.

Select the Address book option
from the Settings menu to check
the port numbers.

Cables are not connected.

Check that the modem cable is
connected properly.

You receive the following
message:

You are trying to connect to a
port that does not exist in your
computer.

Check the port settings.

The port is reserved (some other
program is connected to it).

It is possible that you have
already opened the terminal
program, minimized the window
and forgotten you have already
opened it, and then tried to open
the program again.

You do not receive any
messages.

Cables are not connected.
