3.5 Measures for complying with EMC guidelines
Caution
Long lines reduce immunity to interference (EMC).
· Do not exceed the maximum permitted cable lengths:
ć Control cable: 30 m
ć Power supply cable: 10 m
ć Motor cable: 10 m
If correctly fitted and if Festo cables are used for all the conĆ
nections, the controllers of the SEC−ST product family will
comply with the relevant regulations (see Declaration of ConĆ
formity).
Interference emission and resistance to interference of a
device always depend on the complete design of the drive,
which consists of the following components:
ć the power supply
ć the SEC−ST
ć the motor
ć the electromechanics
ć the design and type of wiring
ć the higher−order controller.
