6.3 External operating elements

Automatic/manualĂmode

The product be operated either manually or automatically via a command module,
e.g. the Festo Commander FSSC−12.

In manual mode, connect the input MAN/P with the input AUTO via a selector
switch N−22−SW and a front panel valve SV−5−M5−B (chapter 11).

S

In automatic mode, connect the input AUTO with the output A

AUTO

of the Festo

Commander FSSC−12 (Fig. 3). Auto results from preselecting on the selector
switch Auto/Man.

Please note
S Connecting AUTO is mandatory.

S If both the inputs AUTO and MAN/P are loaded with compressed air at the

same time, AUTO will dominate.

S Connecting MAN/P is optional and used only in setup and step mode.

Resetting or aligning

Use either an external button or via a command module, e.g. the Festo Commander
FSSC−12, to reset.

In manual mode, connect the input L with an external button T−22−... and a
front panel valve SV−3−M5 (chapter 11).

S

In automatic mode, connect the input L with the output A

L

of the Festo ComĆ

mander FSSC−12 (Fig. 3). Resetting is carried out by pressing the Reset button.

Stopping after a cycle

Use either an external button T−22−... and a front panel valve SV−3−M5 (chapter 11)
or a command module, e.g. the Festo Commander FSSC−12, to stop after a cycle.

In manual mode, use a button T−22−... and a front panel valve with normally−
open function.

S

In automatic mode, select the preselection Single cycle on the Festo
Commander FSSC−12.
