Repair

6.1

OVERVIEW

This section describes the removal, inspection, and reinstallation of the Torrent
SVS Valves (as required for maintenance and repair). Service should be per-
formed by a trained and qualified service technician, or your authorized Hale
Products service representative. Be sure you have sufficient knowledge, expe-
rience and the proper tools.

It is recommended to use Hale genuine replacement parts for optimum safety of
the equipment and its operators and to avoid unnecessary downtime.

WARNING !

BEFORE BEGINNING ANY INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE OR SERVICE OF ANY
KIND TO THE EQUIPMENT, ALWAYS VERIFY THE SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED
(PRESSURE RELEASED). LOCK OUT THE EQUIPMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE MANUFACTURER’S RECOMMENDATIONS.

OPEN THE DISCHARGE VALVES, REMOVE THE SUCTION TUBE CAPS AND DIS-
CHARGE VALVE CAPS TO RELEASE ANY RESIDUAL PRESSURE

REPAIR GUIDELINES

Before You Begin...

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY

BEFORE BEGINNING ANY SERVICE REPAIR.

1.

Place apparatus out of service in accordance with your company
procedures.

2.

Park the vehicle on a level surface. Set the parking brake and chock the
front and rear wheels.

3.

Verify that the pressure has been released from the system and lock out the
equipment in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. See
