Corrective Maintenance

The electric actuator can not be reinstalled until the problem is corrected and
the SVS valve is returned to its original position.

1.

Disconnect the electric valve actuator harness connector. (See Figure 6a-
3: “Exposing the Valve Stem for Manual Override,” on page 36.)

2.

Pull both quick release pins out of the bracket assembly and lift the electric
actuator off its bracket to expose the valve stem bushing.

Note: Note the position of the SVS valve in relationship to the electric actuator stem.
When reinstalling the actuator, the SVS valve must be returned to the same position
allowing the actuator stem to be inserted into the valve stem bushing. (See Figure
6a-3: “Exposing the Valve Stem for Manual Override,” on page 36.)

WARNING !

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ROTATE THE ELECTRIC ACTUATOR STEM MANUALLY
AS DAMAGE TO THE ACTUATOR WILL OCCUR, RENDERING IT DEFECTIVE.

3.

Remove the valve stem bushing, then using an appropriate wrench, rotate
the SVS valve stem to the required position. (See Figure 6a-3: “Exposing
the Valve Stem for Manual Override,” on page 36.)

4.

After the problem has been corrected,

Rotate the SVS valve stem back to its original position (the position the
valve was in prior to removing the electric actuator). See preceding
Note and

WARNING !

above.

Reinstall the valve stem bushing.

Place the electric valve actuator over the bushing.

Replace both quick release pins and connect the actuator wire harness.

5.

Using the switch panel, open and close the valve a few times to insure it is
working properly.
