Over time, you experience eyestrain.

m Adjust the screen contrast. In a bright room, contrast is usually best set at

maximum; in a dim room, lower contrast is usually more comfortable. The
contrast (

O) controls are on the front of your display. Also, be sure to take

occasional breaks to focus your eyes on a distant object.

m Adjust the white point of the screen image. For most application programs,

a white point of 9300 K is best. See “Setting a White Point” in Chapter 4.

The display doesn’t appear in the Monitors control panel.

m After you install your AppleVision 1710

power is on and restart your computer.

m Make sure you’ve installed the Macintosh software that came with your

display. See “Installing the Macintosh Software” in Chapter 1.

A message appears, “This software only works with an AppleVision display.”

display cable into the correct ports. You may have plugged them into the
wrong ports by mistake. See “Connecting the Display Cable” in Chapter 1.

display. See “Installing the Macintosh Software” in Chapter 1.

A message appears, “AppleVision Setup failed to load.”

m Make sure you’ve plugged the display connector and ADB connector on the

display cable into the correct ports. You may have plugged them into the
