Chapter 5 Drive Programming and Parameters
Invalid codes prompt the following error message:

When you have a valid tag code, press [Enter] to continue.
If you select a read-only parameter code, you cannot exit the screen with this read-
only parameter. Type a new code or press [F10] to return to the previous screen
without making a selection.

Text Editing
Several operations require text entry, including:
• setting external faults
• adding text to selected Top Level Menu meters
• identifying the drive with a text string
• entering a filename
The keypad does not contain any alpha keys for text. Use the following
procedures for text entry.
Screens requiring text entry have the F3, F4, and F5 keys in common. Use the
cursor keys to move to the editing field; the screen highlights the text entry field
when active.

▼
to cycle
through the character sets in each position. (Note that from the first character of
a set, pressing
▼
wraps immediately to the last character of the set.)
