Image Stabilizer

Camera shake is often a problem during hand-held
shooting. It is especially noticeable during
telephoto recording, or if you are using the camera
on the move — whether on foot or from a car
window. The E700’s optical image-stabilization
system produces steady, professional-looking
recordings in these difficult situations.

1. Set the IMAGE STABILIZER switch to

the ON position before you start

recording.

2. Return the switch to the OFF position

when you have finished.

Notes:

• The image stabilizer is designed to deal with a

normal degree of camera shake — it cannot
compensate for large movements of the camera.

• Keep the image stabilizer turned off when the

camera is mounted on a tripod.

• The image stabilizer is not as effective as usual

when the optional wide-converter or tele
converter is attached.
