10.1 CoS Support
NOTE: The instructions in the following paragraphs pertain to both the Ingress and
Egress Class of Service (CoS) Support. Functions 1 through 5 are used for
modifying the Ingress CoS Support settings and functions 6 through 10 are
used for modifying the Egress CoS Support settings.
From the CoS Configuration screen, type
1 or 6 and press Enter. The Ingress or Egress CoS Support
Enabled/Disabled setting is highlighted. Use the
Space Bar to cycle the setting between Enabled and
Disabled. Press
Enter to lock in the setting.
10.2 Classifier Mapping
The Classifier Mapping screen enables the user to choose the classification mapping and mode for tagged
and untagged packets. While tagged packets are mapped using only Priority Code Point (PCP), there are
three classifications available for untagged packets: IP Procedure, DSCP, and AF/EF modes.
From the CoS Configuration screen, type
2 or 7 and press Enter. The Ingress or Egress Classifier
Mapping Screen (Figure 10-2) opens.

10.2.1 Tagged Packet Classifier Mapping
To configure the queue mapping for tagged packets, type
1 and press Enter. The Tagged Packet Classifier
Mapping screen (Figure 10-3) opens.
The Tagged Packet Classifier Mapping screen allows you to assign a queue to PCP value. The following
are the queues available in the 9145E from the highest priority to the lowest priority.

LLQ (Low Latency Queue)
•
Q3
•
Q2
•
Q1
Type the number of the PCP, or a series of numbers such as 3-7 if desired, and press
Enter. The cursor
moves to the CoSQ setting in the column beside that PCP number and highlights it. Use
Space to scroll
through the available queues, select a queue and press
Enter. If a series of numbers was chosen, all of
