Basic Mercury-Powered NXT Controller
Configuration

This document covers the basic configuration of Mercury Powered NXT (NXT-MSC) con-
trollers in Doors.NET software. It assumes Doors.NET has already been successfully
installed on your host PC, the software license has been activated, and the gateway has
been configured for your controller type.

Adding an NXT-MSC Controller to the NXT Gateway

The factory default setting for an NXT-MSC controller is to require a DHCP IP address.
The panel must be connected to a network LAN that has DHCP enabled. Without a
DHCP address the panel cannot be initialized in Doors.NET. Once the controller has a
DHCP address you will use a utility built into Doors.NET to scan the network for con-
trollers.

1. Ensure all NXT-MSC controllers are connected to the network and are powered

ON.

2. Open the Doors.NET login window by clicking on the client icon on the desktop.

3. Login to the software using the default username and password of admin / admin,

then click Connect.

4. Click the Setup tab then click Hardware Setup.

5. Right-click the SCP gateway in the hardware tree. The ribbon bar displays the con-

troller types enabled in your license. Choose Scan Network.
