Configure DSL/IP Tests
ATM LoopBack
The ATMLB tab allows you to configure the parameters to verify the
connection between the DSLAM and the ATM core; that the customer is
properly provisioned up to the point of the ATM switch based on
ATM F5 OAM (operation, administration, and maintenance) loopback
functionality.
The available parameters are the
following:

VPI is a value ranging from
0 through 255 for the virtual path
identifier (VPI) of the ATM
connection.

VCI is a value ranging from
32 through 65535 for the virtual
circuit identifier (VCI) of the ATM
connection.
³
Cell Type initiates either End to End or Segment loopbacks.
³
Mode lists the levels of OAM testing dedicated to the ATM layer. The
values are either F4 for testing the virtual path level or F5 for testing the
virtual channel level.
To select the ATM loopback parameters to configure:
1. Press the up/down arrows to select the desired parameter.
2. Press to open the list or modify the parameter.
3. In the list, press the up/down arrows to select the function or mode.

Use the alphanumeric keypad to enter the value you want to specify.
4. Press to confirm the selection.
