13 IPTV Analysis
The IPTV Analysis test functionality provides all the required information
for the installation, maintenance, and/or troubleshooting of video services,
including IPTV, delivered over DSL.
To view the available tabs:
Press the left/right function arrows on each side of the F1, F2, and F3 keys.
Reading Results
Test Summary
The Test Summary tab allows you to view the PASS/FAIL status and
Details of all the tests configured for the DSL and Ethernet layers over
which the IPTV service is being delivered. If a measured value is out of the
threshold range configured for the IPTV analysis setup, the Test Summary
screen displays a FAIL message.
The available test results are the
following:

Line Status displays either
Connected or Disconnected for
the particular line connection
under test.

WAN Status displays whether the
unit is Connected to the wide area
network, or in idle mode.
³
IP PacketLoss is the total number of lost video packets within the
threshold range.
³
IP PacketJitter is the variance of the real-time transport protocol (RTP)
data packet inter-arrival time.
