Voicemail

The X-44 comes standard with both Auto Attendant and Voicemail. The Auto Attendant’s job is to
answer an incoming calls, play prerecorded greetings, allow the caller to dial an extension number and be

transfer to the dialed extension number. The voicemail’s job is to play the personal greeting of the dialed

extension number and then take a message.

Getting to Know your Voice Mailbox

When you have a new message the light above the display will begin flashing and the display will show

an envelope with the new message count.

Setting up your Voice Mailbox

It is a good idea to customize your voice mailbox. To do this you will press your message button

,

then you will be prompted to enter your password. The default password is four zeros (0000).

Use the following steps to personalize your greeting and name.

1. After the voice mail answers dial 3 to record your personal greeting

2. Press 2 - to record your new greeting

3. Record your personalize greeting and then press the # key. A common greeting may be

• “Hi, this is Jonathan I am either on my phone or away from my desk. Please leave a detailed

message and I will return your call as soon as I can.”

It is also a good idea to change the mailbox password. At default, the password is four zeros (0000) and

can be changed to any 4 digit sequence from 0000 - 9999

After logging into your voice mailbox select 2 to change your mailbox password or if you just

recorded your greeting, press # and then press 2.

Enter your new 4 digit password, one that is easy for you to remember, and then press #. The

voicemail will announce your new password. Then press 1 to confirm.
