You can send and monitor diagnostic test patterns from the
AM2000 Online Access/Loopbacks and Online Access/Select Test
menu items. The AM2000 displays the results of the test. The
Status menu described in the section titledStatus Monitoring,
indicates when a test pattern is being sent.
The AM2000 menu shown in Figure 8 lists the available test
patterns you can select.

Verilink test pattern
is a 4-bit pseudo-random test pattern. It is not very useful in
DDS mode.

These test patterns can be locally enabled on both ends
simultaneously without enabling loops in order to
independently test the transmit and receive lines. Both these
test patterns are useful in DDS mode.
ASCII Interface
Figure 9 illustrates the ASCII (Craft) Interface Configuration Screen
for a DIU 2130/DDS.
