Packet inspection
The packet inspection function enables firewall devices to monitor networks and protect against
malformed packet attacks. These attacks use defective IP packets, such as overlapping IP fragments and
packets with illegal TCP flags, causing the target system to malfunction or crash.
Configuration guide
From the navigation tree of the firewall management component, select Packet Inspection under Intrusion
Detection to enter the packet inspection management list page, as shown in Figure 104 . Table 98
describes the packet inspection management functions.
