Adding Audio Enhancements
Once you’ve exported your NewsEdit sequence, you need to import it into the
post-production audio tool and make any enhancements.
Follow the instructions for the audio tool you are using.
Using Digidesign Pro Tools
To make audio enhancements using Pro Tools:
1. Open the Pro Tools application.
2. Create a new session with these settings:
3. Select File | Import Session Data .
4. Select the OMF file that you exported from NewsEdit and click Open .
5. In the Import Session Data window, choose these settings:
6. Click OK .
7. Make your audio enhancements.
8. Select File | Export selected tracks as OMF/AAF .
9. In the Export to OMF/AAF window, choose these settings:
Session Parameter Selection
Audio File Type BWF (.WAV)
Sample Rate 48 kHz
Bit Depth 16 Bit
Option Selection
Convert clip-based gain to automation
Ignore keyframe gain Off
Option Selection
Export as OMF
