6. Connect the ground wire between the drive ground terminal and the EtherCAT ® Option
ground. When wiring the EtherCAT ® Option, pass the ground wire through the inside of the
drive bottom cover, then pass the ground wire into the through-hole for the ground wire at
the front of the EtherCAT ® Option.

7. Connect the communication wire to the EtherCAT ® Option modular connector.
8. Attach the EtherCAT ® Option cover to the front of the EtherCAT ® Option.
